Alik Gerber

Alik Gerber was born in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, in 1966 and immigrated to Israel in 1991. Between 1986-1990 he studied at the Art Institute of Krivoy Rog. In Israel, he taught drawing at the School of Art in Ramle and exhibited in Ramle and Tel Aviv.

Gerber’s artistic language was deeply influenced by the landscapes, sunlight, and vibrant atmosphere of Israel, which replaced the darker palette that characterized his earlier works in Russia. His paintings combine delicate brushwork with rich textures created using sand, plaster, and coarse brushes, giving the surface a distinctive sculptural quality.

His works are known for their dynamic compositions, layered textures, and unique use of color, blending elements of painting and graphic expression into a harmonious and expressive visual language.
