Vladimir Mingar (Vova), born in 1965 in Bodaibo, Siberia, showed exceptional artistic talent from an early age. After studying at the Leningrad Institute of Visual Arts, he immigrated to Israel in 1991 and settled in Tel Aviv in 1997.
Working in a style best described as Expressionist Abstractionism, Vova draws inspiration from the Cobra movement, particularly Corneille, Karel Appel, and Lithuanian-Israeli artist Leo Ray. His works combine figurative primitivism, naivety, and humor, resulting in vibrant, expressive compositions.
Vova has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Israel and internationally, earning recognition for his distinctive artistic voice.
